The XT55-GSC3 based on the XT55-GPS module, is designed to be used on any GSM network. This single and very small (35 x 53 x 5 mm) compact device, maintained features from the predecessor XT55-GPS module from Siemens, is a Tri Band GSM/GPRS engine that works on the three frequencies GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz, it also supports state-of-art GPS technology for satellite navigation.
The XT55-GSC3 is a combined GSM/GPRS/GPS device that allows easy upgrade of the performance of existing XT55-GPS system solutions. The XT55-GSC3 is designed for application that prefers to use board-to-board connection to the main PCB application platform. The combination of these three technologies in such a small formfactor device will make many new asset-tracking applications possible, particularly in the fields of transportation, logistics and security. This combination concept builds the perfect basis for the design tracking solutions for applications such as fleet management, vehicle tracking, navigation, emergency calling, location-based services and others. It saves significantly both time and cost for integration of additional hardware components. The XT55-GSC3 incorporates 8 Mb of FLASH memory.
