An increasing number of our customers require individual modifications of our products, the supply of special models or the development of completely new GPS solutions. As a result, particular emphasis was placed on strengthening our research and development capacity. The R&D department now not only functions as a service center but also acts as independent player in the market. In light of this, the first quarter 2010 witnessed the solicitation of three attractive development projects. In addition, independent product development projects have been initiated in cooperation with universities, whereby project funding was provided in form of public sponsorship. This notwithstanding, Falcom will continue to sharpen its profile as a leading GPS solutions manufacturer in the classical sense. The established practice of interlinking of R&D projects with production activities remains an integral part of Falcom’s value chain, which underpins a high level of customer satisfaction and distinguishes Falcom from classical engineering companies.
