STEPPII - Receives Cingular Certification in USA 31.01.05 10:36

FALCOM's latest STEPPII terminal, which had recently received PTCRB and FCC approval for the American market, has now been certified by Cingular for full network compatibility on the Cingular (blue/AT&T Wireless) network.

The new STEPPII terminal has a Tri Band GSM module (850/1800/1900 MHz US version), a full AVL embedded configurable software, an eCos operating system as an open source platform to embedded proprietary software as well as 8 digital I/Os and 2 analogue inputs. Further the STEPPII has an unique cooling and heating element which allows the unit to adjust and fully operate to automotive temperature ranges of -40 ?C to +85 ?C.

The STEPPII terminal is an excellent addition to application areas such as AVL systems, vertical mobile applications as well as security market segments.
