we announce the official release of the new FALCOM STEPPIII GSM/GPRS/GPS Terminal. The STEPPIII concept represents further development of the FALCOM STEPP concept. The new device can be easily integrated into existing STEPPII designs or into a variety of new applications. It is functional, mechanical and software compatible to the popular STEPPII-55/56-GPRS device family. Compared to previous STEPP versions the new STEPPIII concept embeds Quad Band GSM/GPRS core, 20 channels high-sensitivity GPS core, 3D motion sensor, 1100mAh Li-Polymer battery. It offers substantial improvement of the price/performance ratio compared to the STEPPII device.

The delivery-set includes mounting cradle with mounting screws and system connector with 16 pin 1,5m long cable set with fuse protection for automotive installation. The device complies to all relevant FTA, FCC, CE and e1 regulations.

The design-in process of the STEPPIII concept is supported by the comprehensive STEPPIII-EVALKIT. It contains the entire technical documentation as well as all relevant hardware and software tools for evaluation, field test and integration of the STEPPIII device. It is an essential element for all STEPPIII based projects.
