The unique USB/GPRS Plug & Play modem SAMBA55 has reached to a volume production status. The default configuration of the SAMBA55-SET now contains the Mobile PhoneTools (MPT) by BVRP. The fully featured firmware package supports GPRS, GSM, SMS, MMS (MMS Studio), E-mail, Fax, PhoneBook, Synchro (contacts) and Voice functionality. The MTP support 14 languages and Plug & Play functionality for WIN 2000 and WIN XP. The SAMBA set is a powerful combination between state-of-the-art hardware and software package. It is offered now in 2 versions; SAMBA55 based on 900/1800/1900 MHz and SAMBA56 based on 850/1800/1900 MHz for the Americas market. The SAMBA USB modem concept is an excellent tool for network and wireless service operators targeting for short time-to-market for variety of GPRS enabled data service packages including voice functionality. SAMBA supports class 10 GPRS and comes standard in 3 different colors in a retail blister pack with a retractable Audio Headset, as well as a separate package with a USB Docking Station and Swivel USB Tilt adapter as an accessory. SAMBA is available for OEM and private label.
