FALCOM announce the availability of the new embedded OEM GPS module FALCOM JP4. The FALCOM JP4 is a single-board 12 parallel channel GPS receiver based on the SiRFstarII chipset. The device delivers major advancements in GPS performance, accuracy, computing power and hardware integration. The very compact size (34 x 22 x 3 mm) together with the default trickle power mode (max. 40 mA at 3.3 V, 800 ms OFF, 200 ms ON) and superior TTFF acquisition rate (ca. 45 s) allows the creation of variety of very compact, low power, high-efficient OEM navigation, security and monitoring solutions. The standard interface board-to-board connection as well as the possibility to use soldered antenna cable provide easy handling under volume production conditions as well as simple after-sales support concept. Hard- and software designers are supported by a complete evaluation kit that contains all relevant reference design information.
