The new embedded smart GPS antenna FSA02 combines latest GPS technology based on GSC3LTf chip set with Geohelix Sarantel antenna, LNA and SAW filter. It relieves hardware engineers from the complexity tasks of RF design and offers excellent price/performance ratio for the creation of a variety of state-of-the-art GPS enabled handheld devices at a reduced design-in-risk and improved Time-to-Market factor. The design-in activities are supported by the corresponding FSA02-EVALKIT.
The new smart antenna FSA02 has compared to the FSA01 a new power management with DC/DC converter. Thereby a power consumption less than 20 mA is met. By the new power management a hardware hot-start (RTC/SRAM-backup) is possible. Please find enclosed the corresponding flyer and application note.
