FALCOM receives products' full type and PTCRB approvals for the Americas market 01.12.04 10:17

FALCOM GmbH, a leading developer and manufacturer of GSM/GPRS, GPS, BT, Wi-Fi and other industrial wireless modules, modems and vertical products, announced today its success in obtaining full PTCRB and FCC approvals of their new product - I56i - targeted towards the Americas market. The I56i is a new Tri Band GSM (850/1800/1900 MHz), GPRS class 10 class B modem in a ruggedized case with SIM card holder, RF and 50-pin connectors. It is a very low power-consuming voice and data modem and is pin to pin compatible with Wavecom's Integra and Multitech's OEM modems, yet offers Tri Band GSM frequencies as well as TCP/IP stack. I56i is offered at a low price and is primarily targeted towards the M2M, Telemetry, security and many other niche industrial market segments.
