FALCOM officially announces the availability of the FALCOM JP15 concept. The FALCOM JP15 module is based on the new SiRFstarIIx chip from SiRF.

The JP15 platform is flexible and scalable platform that addresses high volume, cost sensitive GPS enabled applications that are not accepting any compromise in terms of low power consumption, high sensitivity and small size.

The JP15 concept embeds three options - lowest Cost ROM version that offers 4 different software configuration and two cost efficient Flash memory based versions that allow custom specific configurations of the standard SiRF Firmware 2.4.0 as well as the high-sensitivity XtrackX 2.2.0 firmware.

Two different form factors and mounting options are making the JP15 concept suitable for almost all relevant embedded designs and state-of-the-art production technologies.

The JP15 is a ROHS compliant device.
