FALCOM announces the availability of the device FALCOM NAVI-S 12.09.03 10:42

FALCOM NAVI-S is an integrated 12 parallel channel GPS receiver that features the SiRFstarII low power chipset and consists of high-performance GPS core including acquisition accelerator, DGPS processor, multi-path mitigation hardware and satellite tracking engine. The FALCOM NAVI-S delivers major advancements in GPS performance, accuracy, computing power and hardware integration. The device integrates a GPS antenna, power regulation and interface circuitry as well as a backup battery for SRAM and RTC in a very compact form factor. The superior TTFF acquisition rate (<45 s) together with the low power consumption allows the creation of high-efficient navigation, tracking, security and monitoring solutions. The FALCOM NAVI-S device can be connected to all type of equipment that supports RS232 or USB type (i.e. board computers, laptops, PDAs etc.). The 2.5 m cable set can be easily customised to support big variety of standard handheld devices. The variable mounting options (magnetic base or adhesive path) provide additional flexibility during the installation procedure. The FALCOM NAVI-S concept is the perfect basis for creation of compact, high-efficient, low-power, low-cost applications that require GPS tracking signal input into a portable computing device.
